Update from the Johnsons

E-mail update February 22, 2007
From Jim and Lydia Johnson.
Bringing you up to date reports of what God is doing in our lives.
We have now passed the halfway-mark in completion of chemotherapy. Thank you for your prayers. We should be meeting with the radiologist in the next week and have a better understanding of what to expect concerning radiation.
Jim had good trip to the counseling conference in Indiana. He saw a lot of cold and snow, but was not hindered in travel. It was a profitable time of learning how to apply the Scriptures to life’s situations.
News from the field is that 73 people participated in this years Carnival retreat in the Lower Jaguaribe River Valley region. We hear from the lay folks that the sermons were great and people were challenged. Marcicleudo’s new wife got involved in the kitchen and the retreat offered a great time for the three congregations to get to know her, and she them.
February and March are birthday months for both Anna and Calvin. Calvin turned 14, and Anna looks forward to 16. This has been a growing year for all of us and we are thankful to the Lord for His work in our kid’s lives. We are reminded that our time as “hands on” parents is drawing short. Pray that we may invest the best possible way in their lives.
We praise the Lord for various opportunities of ministry during this past month, and for evidence of His grace in our lives. We also thank you for your continued prayers in our behalf.
Thanks for your prayers!
