Taste and See that the Lord is Good!

This is our Tabernacle Baptist Church theme for 2007. We will have 12 messages for the year (one each month) on this important theme. Our theme comes from Psalm 34:8. We are having mugs designed with this theme also. The mugs will be given to visitors and also to our own people for birthdays.

Quote in Great Grandpa's Bible

This Christmas, as we were reading the Christmas story, Grandma was reading from Great Grandpa's Bible and found this quote:

"Happiness is not dependent on where you are, or whom you are with, or how much you have. It is a state of the heart, a wholesome response to your surroundings, whatever they be - a sense of being a part of God's plan, and a giving of yourself to promote peace and good will. Jesus has never met an unimportant person."

Greatest Gift Fund 10 Commandments

The greatest gift fund this year is going toward a 4 foot high by 5 foot wide cherry wood plaque of the Ten Commandments. We will be taking offerings for this through January.

This collection features carved scripture surrounded by five frames, placed consecutively around each other. The frames are embellished with intricately detailed ivy, Scotchguard treated fabric, and fine cherry molding. The final result is our largest, not to mention one of our most stunning, collections to date. Measuring 54"x 46", we call this "furniture" for the wall. Available in light stain cherry.
