Romans 8:31

His Omnipotent Power

(Conclusion)

Today, we will be concluding our discussion on the omnipotent power of Jesus Christ.

And we will begin with this verse:

Matthew 28:18-20

28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Mat 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

We have seen His awe-inspiring and amazing power over all sickness and disease, over nature, angels, demons, good men, bad men, and every seemingly arbitrary detail  and circumstance of life, its also tremendously comforting to know that Jesus Christ has total power over life and death itself.

John 10:14-18

John 10:14  I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

John 10:15  As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 10:16  And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

John 10:17  Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.

John 10:18  No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Jesus Christ displays His awesome, almighty power over life and death itself.  In ways and amounts that not only definitively proves His power but definitively proved his deity.

Matthew 9:18-25

Mat 9:18  While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

Mat 9:19  And Jesus arose, and followed him, and so did his disciples.

Mat 9:20  And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Mat 9:21  For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.

Mat 9:22  But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

Mat 9:23  And when Jesus came into the ruler's house, and saw the minstrels and the people making a noise,

Mat 9:24  He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn.

Mat 9:25  But when the people were put forth, he went in, and took her by the hand, and the maid arose.

And again…

John 11:1-15

John 11:1  Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha.

John 11:2  (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

John 11:3  Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

John 11:4  When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

John 11:5  Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

John 11:6  When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

John 11:7  Then after that saith he to his disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.

John 11:8  His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews of late sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

John 11:9  Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

John 11:10  But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

John 11:11  These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

John 11:12  Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

John 11:13  Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

John 11:14  Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

John 11:15  And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

John 11: 32-44

John 11:32  Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

John 11:33  When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

John 11:34  And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see.

John 11:35  Jesus wept.

John 11:36  Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

John 11:37  And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died?

John 11:38  Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.

John 11:39  Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

John 11:40  Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

John 11:41  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

John 11:42  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 11:43  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

John 11:44  And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Of course, in terms of our ability as Christian to have a genuine hope of heaven, The pinnacle of Jesus’ power over life and death was displayed in the single event that most profoundly changed the entire course of human existence. The glorious and miraculous, divine resurrection of Jesus Christ Himself.

John 20:1-18

John 20:1  The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre.

John 20:2  Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

John 20:3  Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

John 20:4  So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

John 20:5  And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

John 20:6  Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

John 20:7  And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

John 20:8  Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

John 20:9  For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

John 20:10  Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

John 20:11  But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,

John 20:12  And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

John 20:13  And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

John 20:14  And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

John 20:15  Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

John 20:16  Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

John 20:17  Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

John 20:18  Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

This unparalleled human history event not only proved definitively Jesus claims to be

God, but allowed Him and Him alone to say…

John 14:19b

... because I live, ye shall live also.

John 11:25b26a

… I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die…

Which is why G.B. Hardy, wrote… when I looked at religion I said I have two questions. One, has anyone ever conquer death?  And Two, did he make a way for me to conquer death?" I checked the tomb of Buddha, and it was occupied. I checked the tomb of Confucius and it was occupied.  I checked the tomb of Mohammed and it was occupied. And Then I came to the tomb of Jesus and it was empty. And I said there is one who conquered death. So I asked the second question. Did he make a way for me to do it? And then I open my Bible and discovered that He and He alone said …Because I Live you shall also live John 14:9 Therefore I now believe the testimony of Scripture. John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.” G.B. Hardy

But the finial most soul trembling power and authority of Jesus Christ is this one:

That he is the Judge of the living and the dead

Acts 10:42-43

Acts 10:42  And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Acts 10:43  To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Therefore,

Acts 4:12

Acts 4:12  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

So Christ and Christ alone can say:

John 14:6

John 14:6  … I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 5:21-29

John 5:21  For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

John 5:22  For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

John 5:23  That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:24  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:25  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

John 5:26  For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

John 5:27  And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

John 5:28  Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

John 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Jesus Christ, God incarnate will be the final judge of all mankind. He will have and in

fact has already the final power and authority to determine who goes to heaven and who goes to eternal torment in hell. Even now as I speak, it is merely the powerful yet razor thin thread edge of His sustaining Word and grace that holds unrepentant sinners from dropping into everlasting pain and misery.

As this sceen from a prior “Word Picture” so powerfully describes.

Video clip

No wonder the psalmist said:

Psalm 2:11-12

Psa 2:11  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Psa 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

And no wonder The Apostle Paul wrote:

Hebrews 10:26-31

Heb 10:26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Heb 10:27  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Heb 10:28  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

Heb 10:29  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

Heb 10:30  For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Heb 10:31  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Concluding Applications:

Listen to what the 22 nd chapter of the London Baptist Confession of faith begins with this statement:

The light of nature shows that there is a God, who hath lordship and sovereignty

over all; is just, good and does good unto all; and is therefore to be feared, loved,

praised, called upon, trusted in, and served, with all the heart and all the soul,

and with all the might.

And there you have  in 50 words or less the heart and soul of  both our observation of the power and authority of Jesus Christ and what our appropriate response should be.

In other words Jesus Christ is higher more powerful than the most super angelic arc angels in existence.

Heb 1:6-9

Heb 1:6  And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

Heb 1:7  And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.

Heb 1:8  But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Heb 1:9  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

He has been exalted higher with more dignity, honor, glory and authority than the greatest potentate, principality or power in heaven or on earth

Phil 2:5-11

Phil 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Phil 2:6  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Phil 2:7  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Phil 2:8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Phil 2:9  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Phil 2:10  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Phil 2:11  And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

And all power and authority in Heaven and on Earth has been granted to him

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

He does what ever He wills to do on earth and in heaven.

The Angels are at His beck and call to execute his ever desire.

The demons must come and go at His command.

Mat 9:32  As they went out, behold, they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil.

Mat 9:33  And when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marvelled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

He is the Head of the church and Head over all men in the church.

Eph 5:23  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

And evil men may think they have freedom and autonomy to do as they please but it is God who can control restrain or channel the action his enemies and he will conquer any who appose him. And he can bring all who rebel against him under is feet at his pleasure.

Psa 21:11-13

Psa 21:11  For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

Psa 21:12  Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

Psa 21:13  Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

And yet what ever severity he sometimes shows when executing his judgments and taking vengeance upon the wicked (war disease sickness natural disaster ect.) he never abuses His power by unrighteousness

If any thing he is remarkably fair and just and patient even with the worst of men. Punishing them at least here on earth for less than their iniquities deserve to the point that one psalmist found himself not understanding at least in the beginning why the God seemly allows the wicked to prosper. Listen as he was lamenting himself with these words

Psa 73: 2 -16

Psa 73:1…Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Psa 73:2  But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

Psa 73:3  For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Psa 73:4  For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

Psa 73:5  They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

Psa 73:6  Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

Psa 73:7  Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

Psa 73:8  They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

Psa 73:9  They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

Psa 73:10  Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

Psa 73:11  And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

Psa 73:12  Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

Psa 73:13  Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

Psa 73:14  For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Psa 73:15  If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

Psa 73:16  When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

The almost unbelievable tolerance and longsuffering of Christ judgments upon the wicked where a source initially anyway of confusion to the righteous Asaph who wrote Psalm 73.

Asaph was confused over the seeming success of the unrighteous

Awe but the next verse says it all

Psa 73:17  Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

It was there when the psalmist got alone with God and contemplated the big picture if you will that the matter of God’s patience and seemly tolerance of the wicked finally made sense.

Because it was there in the presence of God that he understood the final destiny of the wicked And suddenly his temptation to envy them move toward compassion and pity for them Listen as he concluded the psalm

Psa 73:27  For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Psa 73:28  But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

So to bring this mater to its conclusion on the power and authority of Jesus Christ, to bring it full circle back to where we began there is a reason why we as humans love those who have immense power and use that power kindly righteously and compassionately namely because such people are capable of doing such good

And so they are therefore in that sense their at least worthy of our love

But let me ask you if that’s true and of course that is then how is it possible to not love Jesus Christ passionately and fervently. Awe my brothers and sisters we have much reason to love the King of kings and Lord of lords for his matchless power and authority as Thomas Vincent wrote:

Should not the consideration of the high dignity and authority of your Lord, raise your love for Him unto a great height? When Christ has such command over all of creation, shall He not have command over your hearts, as well? When Christ is invested with such power that He can defend you against the rage and cruelty of your most powerful and malicious enemies (inward, outward, spiritual and physical), will not you greatly love such a person? And should you not trust confidently under the shadow of His protection and government? --Thomas Vincent

I suppose in the end that’s the message that I like to convey to you.  I like to convey to you that Christ unequal power and authority should engender in you feelings of awe and worship, love and gratitude, safety and confidence. Seeing He clothed in omnipotence and therefore is truly able to do any thing he so desires Surely, no prayer is too hard for Him to answer; no need too great for Him to supply; no sin to strong for him to subdue no temptation too powerful to deliver you from; no misery too deep for Him to relieve. no problem so hopeless for him to provide salvation for and especially in light of this promise:

Romans 8:28

Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Our effection of love and trust for Christ should run deep and strong

Yes, His almighty power should engender love and praise from all who have breath.

To be sure, He has warned us:

John 16:33b

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but

But He goes on to say:

John 16:33c

Be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

And though that is no guarantee that every physical emotional financial or spiritual problem we have will be immediately or even eventually in this life resolved it does mean our Abba father is he judge our Abba father is the one who controls and prescreens every problem and  every sickness every  trial that comes into our lives and he determines how short or how long a time those things stay in our lives or not

It is our Abba father who has power over disease nature and demons and good men and evil men and government and life’s circumstances and sin and even life and death itself.

Our Abba father!

Rom 8:14-17

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Rom 8:15  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Rom 8:16  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Rom 8:17  And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

So the immense peace and love that should bring to your heart is simply unspeakable. I mean think of it in these terms: who of us as little children didn’t think of our dads as the most powerful being in the universe.  When we get home often times I’ll open the door and Brianna without hesitating for a second and  with reckless abandoned leaps out at me knowing and fully trusting and convinced that I’m going to catch her every time.

Awe no wonder Christ said

Luke 18:17  Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

Trust in the power and authority of Jesus Christ

Temper it to be sure, with the knowledge that with any loving father our father in heaven won’t in ever circumstance give us ever thing we want or think we want which includes even physical healing or immediate power over ever sin or countless other things that seem awfully like that they would be good for us, but know this God of the universe who has total power over all things is Jesus Christ is your Abba Father. So He will give you that what you want or the equivalent or better for as it is written

Mat 7:7-11

Mat 7:7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Mat 7:8  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Mat 7:9  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

Mat 7:10  Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?

Mat 7:11  If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

So my question to you is what do you need? What is it that you’re lacking?

Physical health, joy, peace, patience, faith, the financial ability to provide for your family, More power in your evangelism, power over some sin. Well the power isn’t in Jesus lack of power and authority to deliver on those things or for that mater His willingness.

The problem is as the apostle James wrote is this

James 2:4yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Or

James 4:3  Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Or as R.A. Torrey wrote:

Sometimes you will hear people say "I am trying to serve God in my poor weak way." Well, if you are trying to serve God in your poor weak way, quit it; your duty is to serve God in His strong, triumphant way. But you say, "I have no natural ability." Then get supernatural ability.

The religion of Jesus Christ is a supernatural religion from start to finish, and we should live our lives in supernatural power, the power of God through Jesus Christ, and we should perform our service with supernatural power, the power of God ministered by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. You say, "I have no natural gifts." Then get supernatural gifts. The Holy Spirit is promised to every believer in order that he may obtain the supernatural gifts which qualify him for the particular service to which God calls him. "

And in terms of his assurance of specifically our salvation how can any Christian who profess to sincerely believe that we are not saved by our own merits and works but by the merits and works of Christ sinless life and atoning death and glorious resurrection not have assurance of their salvation if they know any thing about the power and authority of Jesus Christ? Do you not know have you not heard its not your works that will save you. Its not your religion that will save you, its not even your faith per say that will save you.  It’s Jesus Christ! It’s His power, His sinless life, His atoning death, His glorious resurrection.

For it is written

Eph 2:1-10

Eph 2:1  And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins:

Eph 2:2  Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Eph 2:3  Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

Eph 2:4  But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Eph 2:5  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Eph 2:6  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

Eph 2:7  That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Eph 2:8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Eph 2:9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Eph 2:10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

And while where on the subject what about spiritual gifs? Are you lacking in spiritual gifts.  Well know this

Eph 4:7-13

Eph 4:7  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

Eph 4:8  Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Eph 4:9  (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

Eph 4:10  He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

Eph 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Eph 4:12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Awe the immense accessible glorious power of Jesus Christ no wonder the apostle Paul wrote:

Rom 8:31- 39

Rom 8:31  What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Rom 8:32  He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Rom 8:33  Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Rom 8:34  Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Rom 8:35  Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Rom 8:36  As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Rom 8:37  Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Rom 8:38  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Rom 8:39  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let’s pray and then I’ll leave you with one final thought of His glorious majesty and power found in the book of Jude.

Jude

24  Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25  To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen.
